On July 14, led by Professor Li Xin, 14 third-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) students from the School of Business (MSB) at the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) visited the Nam Kwong (Hengqin) Logistics Center for an exchange and learning session, officially commencing this year’s summer corporate internship program. This visit represents a key initiative for both parties to deepen the integration of industry, academia, and research, as well as to implement collaborative school-enterprise talent cultivation. During the exchange symposium, the relevant representative of Nam Kwong Logistics extended a warm welcome to the MUST faculty and students. The representative systematically introduced the development history, core business layout, and corporate culture of Nam Kwong Group and Nam Kwong Logistics, focusing primarily on modern logistics operations, food (pharmaceutical) supply chain security, international trade services, and business expansion in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. By interpreting industry development trends and job competency requirements through real corporate operational cases, the presentation helped students quickly establish an intuitive understanding of the logistics industry and corporate operations. The faculty and students also engaged in an active and harmonious interactive exchange with corporate representatives regarding topics such as internship job duties and career development paths.

Professor Li Xin, representing MUST, expressed his gratitude to Nam Kwong Logistics for its long-standing support of higher education talent cultivation and for providing a high-quality platform for internship and practice. He stated that as a backbone enterprise in Macau’s logistics industry, Nam Kwong Logistics possesses rich business scenarios and deep industry accumulation, making it an excellent platform for MSB students to put their professional knowledge into practice. He hoped all students would cherish this internship opportunity, learn open-mindedly, think proactively, hone their professional capabilities in real working positions, and accumulate valuable workplace experience.

This visit and exchange laid a solid foundation for the summer internship work. The 14 students will subsequently enter their respective positions to carry out practical internships, deeply participating in the daily operations and project work of the enterprise. Adhering to the educational philosophy of “cultivating interdisciplinary business talents with an international perspective”, MUST MSB continuously deepens the integration of industry, academia, and research to build a high-level practical growth platform for students. This school-enterprise internship cooperation not only reflects the School’s continuous layout in practical education, but will also further assist in the cultivation of young talents in Macau, reserving youth power for the diversified development of Macau’s industries and the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
