Global Operations and Supply Chain Management (3 Credits)
This course focuses on the evolution of supply chain and global operations management, with emphasis on supply chain network design, supply chain resilience, routing and scheduling, inventory management, transportation, digital and intelligent supply chain operations, coordination, and global versus local sourcing strategies. A variety of case studies, worked examples, and in-depth lectures will be delivered throughout the course. Spreadsheet-based tools and quantitative analysis techniques will also be applied to build optimization models for data-driven decision-making in supply chains.
Management Science with Practice (3 Credits)
This course introduces core techniques from decision science that can be implemented in spreadsheet models to support business decision analysis. Course content includes detailed worked examples, practice problems, and case studies; covering optimization and linear programming, spreadsheet-based linear programming, sensitivity analysis, network modeling, integer linear programming, goal programming and multi-objective optimization, nonlinear programming, time series forecasting, and simulation.
Research Design and Analysis (3 Credits)
This course equips students with foundational skills for data analysis using Python. It provides hands-on experience across the full data analysis workflow, including importing data from multiple sources, data cleaning and preprocessing, exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis and basic machine learning modeling, and creating clear, informative visualizations to communicate analytical findings.
Empirical Analysis in Supply Chain Management (3 Credits)
This course is designed for students to master fundamental theories and methods for analyzing and solving problems in empirical supply chain research. Specifically, it covers the concepts and principles of factor analysis, regression analysis, logistic regression, discriminant analysis, reliability analysis, and path analysis, as well as their applications in hypothesis testing in empirical supply chain research.
Business Game Theory (3 Credits)
This is an introductory graduate-level course that provides core analysis tools for business decision-making. It covers four core game theory frameworks, including static games of complete information, dynamic games of complete information, static games of incomplete information, and dynamic games of incomplete information. Through real-world business case studies, students will learn to apply game-theoretic methods to practical strategic scenarios.
AI+Supply Chain Management (3 Credits)
With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), supply chain management is undergoing a revolutionary transformation. This course explores how AI technologies are reshaping the design, operations, and optimization of modern supply chains, and cultivates students’ ability to solve complex supply chain problems in digital environments. Core topics include AI fundamentals and supply chain use cases, intelligent demand forecasting and inventory optimization algorithms, generative AI applications in supply chain decision support systems, and AI-driven strategies for sustainable supply chains.
Supply Chain Modeling and Intelligent Decisions (3 Credits)
In today’s globalized and volatile business environment, traditional decision approaches are no longer sufficient. This course explores the integration of advanced modeling techniques and intelligent decision-making frameworks across the strategic, operational, and execution layers of supply chain management. Students will learn to apply quantitative tools, machine learning, and digital technologies to address real-world challenges including demand volatility, network optimization, and real-time execution monitoring. The course emphasizes a holistic approach to designing resilient, efficient, and adaptive supply chains in the global economy.
Digital Supply Chain (3 Credits)
This course cultivates students’ mastery of core frameworks and applications of digital supply chains, enabling them to translate logistics and supply chain challenges in real business scenarios into digital models for optimization and decision-making. Amid accelerating global trade and technological revolution, this competency is essential for careers in supply chain management, logistics operations, and business strategy. Students will develop expertise in supply chain digital transformation strategies, IoT integration, big data analytics tools, and blockchain application mechanisms; gain a comprehensive understanding of sustainable supply chain design, risk prediction methods, AI optimization algorithms, and cloud platform management; and stay abreast of cutting-edge developments and practical cases in the digital supply chain field.

This course introduces core knowledge and methods of big data analytics for decision-making in supply chain management, with an emphasis on hands-on Python skills for solving real-world problems. Course content includes detailed worked examples, case studies, and practice problems covering: demand forecasting, inventory management, production planning, logistics and route optimization, and other core supply chain scenarios.
Data Driven Approaches and Applications (3 Credits)
In today’s open, market-driven global economy, the ability to analyze real-world business problems using data-driven approaches is critical for future management professionals. This course introduces essential data analysis techniques and their applications in business and economics. Through hands-on practice with tools including Excel, SPSS, and SPSS Modeler, students will learn to analyze and visualize data, and apply core methodologies including descriptive analytics, data mining, and predictive modeling. The course trains students to abstract real business problems into analytical models and apply appropriate techniques for decision-making and problem-solving. By the end of the course, students will be able to apply data-driven strategies across business contexts to enhance their analytical and decision-making capabilities.
Supply Chain Finance (3 Credits)
This course teaches core concepts and practical applications of supply chain finance. Course content includes detailed worked examples, practice problems, and case studies; covering the relationship between supply chain management and financial performance, evolution of supply chain finance, supply chain finance innovations in trade, operations management, logistics, banking, and e-business, supply chain finance technology enablers, and risk management in supply chain finance.
Special Topic in Supply Chain Analysis (3 Credits)
This course explores critical dimensions of omni-channel operations from the perspectives of integrated supply chain management and sustainability. Course content covers core business functions and key determinants of omni-channel practices, including product portfolio management, inventory optimization, and channel conflict resolution. To integrate sustainable supply chain operations, the course also examines return policies and closed-loop supply chains, with applications of big data techniques and data-driven optimization methods. Diverse case studies with managerial insights are used to foster students’ critical thinking skills.
Internet Plus and Supply Chain (3 Credits)
Set against the backdrop of the “Internet Plus” initiative, this course delves into the transformation and innovation of modern supply chain management. Combining a global perspective with local industry practice, the course analyzes challenges and opportunities for supply chains in the digital age, covering industrial supply chain construction, fintech integration, multi-technology applications (including blockchain, IoT, and digital twins), and the current landscape and future development paths of supply chains across industries. Through case studies (e.g., cross-border e-commerce), the course guides students to understand the core logic of supply chain restructuring, agility, platformization, and ecosystem development, building comprehensive capabilities to navigate complex industrial environments.
Supply Chain and Enterprise Resource Planning (3 Credits)
Against the backdrop of globalization and deepening inter-enterprise collaboration, effective supply chain management has become a core driver of business success. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, as the core tool supporting business processes and cross-enterprise transactions, play an indispensable role in supply chain management. This course introduces the theoretical foundations and practical applications of ERP systems in supply chain scenarios, covering modules including procurement management, sales management, and inventory management. Hands-on training with the Yonyou U8 system is integrated to enhance students’ ability to implement and apply information systems in real business settings.
