Introduction to Master of Science in Business Analytics Program

The Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program takes business management as the application scenario, statistical science as the methodological core, and data technology as the implementation support, focusing on data-driven business decision optimization. The program strengthens students’ business logical thinking and quantitative analysis ability, guiding them to proficiently apply statistical tools, quantitative research methods and business data resources to gain insights into business operation rules, predict industry evolution trends and optimize decision-making processes, achieving full-chain capability upgrading from data value mining to business strategy implementation. Aligned with the demand for enterprise digital-intelligent transformation, the program is committed to cultivating senior compound business analytics talents who “command business, excel in quantification and exercise insight”, capable of driving business innovation and management optimization based on data and intelligent technologies.

Graduates enjoy broad career prospects. They may work in internet enterprises, data technology companies, enterprise digital-intelligent centers, data departments of financial institutions, engaging in business data strategy analysis, consumer behavior insight, data product planning, data governance and compliance and other related work.

The normal program duration is two academic years, requiring the completion of 45 credits, including core courses (24 credits), elective courses (9 credits), and an independently accomplished thesis (12 credits).

Keeping pace with the global trend of business digital-intelligent upgrading, the program integrates methods such as statistical modeling, quantitative research and data visualization into all teaching links. It guides students to master full-chain capabilities from data sorting, rule insight to decision optimization, and achieves the coordinated improvement of business thinking and quantitative analysis ability.

  2. The program is equipped with the “Big Data Training Lab”, installed with mainstream industry business intelligence software. It carries out systematic practical training in data cleaning, business modeling and strategy simulation, helping students proficiently master the professional toolchain and establish a systematic understanding of business operation logic.

  3. The program features core faculty members covering fields such as data science, business analytics and decision optimization. We regularly invite renowned domestic and overseas scholars and senior industry experts to host thematic forums and lecture series.
