Description of the Business Internship

The internship is a major elective course designed to provide an opportunity for MSB undergraduate students to gain real-life working experience prior to graduation. The primary intention of the internship course is to provide the opportunity for students to work in various departments related to their disciplines. It builds up some valuable and worthy experiences for student’s future professional development. This course is a 3-credit course.

The internship must be at one site in the business and the internship must be 180 hours, either 12 weeks in Fall/Spring (15 hours/week) or consecutive 6 weeks in Summer.

Insurance Liability

Students are responsible for arranging their own professional liability insurance.


Internship Grading Policy

Students are required to hand in all course work on the due dates designated by the school supervisor. The assessment may include the following components which are subject to change at the school supervisor’s discretion. The school supervisor will design appropriate assessment method and assessment rubrics.

Internship Report Requirements

Mid-term Report (Minimum: 1000 Words) :

  1. Introduction of the Organization: Company Background、Mission Statement、Organizational Chart and Structure、Main productions、Market Analysis and so on

  2. Description of Job position ( Job Analysis and Biweekly Logs)

  3. Challenges of Current Job Position and how to solve these problems.
