The 2023/2024 Graduation Ceremony of the School of Business of M.U.S.T. was successfully held
The 2023/2024 Graduation Ceremony of the School of Business of Macau University of Science and Technology was successfully held at 4:00 pm on June 9, at the Auditorium of Block R of M.U.S.T. The ceremony was presided over by Chair Prof. Joseph Hun-wei LEE, Vice-Chancellor, President of Macau University of Science and Technology, and Prof. Sheng Ni, Dean of the School of Business (MSB). The leaders of the faculty who attended the ceremony included Chair Prof. Lui Ting Ming, Director of the Institute of Development Economics; Prof. Liu Chengkun, Director of the Institute of Sustainable Development; Prof. Lin Zhijun, Senior Consultant for President of the Academic Accreditation Office; Prof. Chan Tung Sun (Felix), Vice Dean of MSB; Prof. Tang Huajun and Prof. Zhang Jinghua, Assistant Deans of MSB; Prof. Chang Po Chien, Head of the Department of Management; Associate Prof. Li Xin, Head of the Department of Decision Sciences, as well as program directors of various programs of MSB, etc. A total of 1,973 MSB students graduated this year, including 721 undergraduates, 1,149 master's degree graduates, and 103 doctoral graduates. A total of 791 master's and undergraduate graduates attended the ceremony. President Lee and Dean Sheng, accompanied by MSB program directors and program coordinators, took commemorative photos with graduates during the ceremony, marking a precious moment. With their teachers' and parents' witness and blessing, the graduates concluded their learning journey at the M.U.S.T., formally embarking on a new chapter in their lives.

Dean Sheng Ni of MSB mentioned that the graduating students in attendance included those from 10 master's degree programs and 2 bachelor’s degree programs. She emphasized that those students witnessed MSB's successful attainment of international accreditation by the AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) in July 2023, making it part of the top 6% of business schools globally. This achievement was a source of pride, reflecting the efforts and contributions of both faculty and staff and signifying that the degrees earned by graduates now hold even greater value. Dean Sheng encouraged the students to bravely pursue their dreams armed with the knowledge gained at MSB and to carve out their paths. She wished all the graduating students a bright future and success in their careers.

Prof. Lin Zhijun, Senior Consultant for the President of the Academic Accreditation Office, awarded the First Class Honor Cord to one undergraduate student who achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or above, and the Second Class Honor Cord to ten students who achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.8 to 3.89 this year.
Speech by the Teacher’s Representative Assistant Prof. Chen Yue
Assistant Prof. Chen Yue, the teacher representative of MSB congratulated all graduates for their efforts during their studies, and through the following three stages: the first stage is the transition from the comfort zone to the challenging trip; the second stage is from diversification to specialization; the third stage is the transition from success to excellence, encouraging graduates to take the cross-field professional knowledge equipped at MSB to bravely face the challenges and give fully play to their strengths, pursue excellence.
Speech by Graduate Representatives
During the graduation ceremony, Ms. Wang Minghan, representing the postgraduate graduates, expressed gratitude for MSB's witness of their growth and transformation. She acknowledged the rich academic resources and excellent faculty, urging fellow students to steadfastly write their life scripts, realize their self-worth, and fulfill their social responsibilities through dedication. Following this, Ms. Wang Shiqi, who represented the undergraduate graduates, sincerely thanked the university and teachers for their nurturing. She highlighted the diverse academic lectures, business competitions, and recruitment events provided by MSB, enabling students to discover their passions in a rich array of activities. Through a solid education, she firmly believed that graduates of MSB would live up to the school's expectations and become pillars driving socio-economic development.
Finally, the art troupe of M.U.S.T. presented blessing songs for the graduates, creating a heartwarming atmosphere as teachers, graduates, and their relatives sang together, providing a perfect conclusion to the graduation ceremony.
