This competition was hosted by CCOIC, with the Institute of Certified Management Accountants and the Institute of Public Accountants as supporting organizations. The competition aimed to enhance the ability of the students of China Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macau, in terms of their capabilities of conducting business research using financial and accounting information across the China Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macau, while promoting deep interaction and exchanges in accounting education among the three regions. The competition fully tested students’ academic abilities and on-site adaptability through a format of “live case presentation + Q&A”. The designated case company for this competition was iFLYTEK Co., Ltd. Participating teams acted as business strategy consultants, conducting an in-depth evaluation of the company’s current operating status based on its performance reports from 2023 to 2025. Assistant Professor Zhang Ruopiao, the supervising professor, stated after the competition that this event was an important practical extension of classroom theoretical knowledge. Through analyzing real-world listed company cases, students not only deepened their understanding of financial statements and business strategies but also received comprehensive training in teamwork and cross-disciplinary thinking. The platform for universities from three regions to compete on the same stage also gave students the opportunity to benchmark against outstanding teams from top universities in mainland China and Hong Kong, further broadening their academic and industry perspectives.
MUST MSB consistently places great importance to cultivate students’ practical abilities, and actively promotes the educational philosophy of “applying knowledge to practice and promoting learning through competition” via case competitions, industry internships, and project research. Moving forward, MSB remains committed to nurturing interdisciplinary business leadership talent possessing both professional depth and a global vision.
