On 7 May 2026, the School of Business (MSB) of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) and the Bank of China Macau Branch (BOC) jointly held the closing ceremony of the “Financial Institution Experiential Learning” Program at the Conference Hall on the third floor of the Bank of China Tower. Key attendees included Mr. Lei Jun, Deputy General Manager of the Personal Banking and Channel Management Department of Bank of China Macau Branch; Mr. Chan Wai Pan, General Manager of the City of Dreams Sub-Branch / Macau University of Science and Technology Sub-Branch; Professor Lin Yongjia, Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance at MSB, and Assistant Professor Loi Fai Lim from MSB.

During the ceremony, Mr. Chan delivered an encouraging speech to the students. In light of the May Fourth Youth Day, he quoted President Xi Jinping’s message to young people, emphasizing that the present era offers valuable opportunities for youth to contribute and excel. He highly commended the students for their active participation in the program and their performance throughout the three-month course. Drawing on Macau’s “1+4” industrial strategy, he emphasized the pivotal role of modern finance in the city’s economic diversification and noted BOC’s ongoing commitment to promoting stability and innovation in the financial sector. He expressed the hope that, through deeper collaboration with MSB, the program would continue to expand in both depth and breadth, contributing new momentum to the cultivation of financial talent in Macau. He further remarked that participating in this practical course jointly organized by BOC and MSB provided students with a valuable opportunity to integrate academic study with industry practice. He encouraged students to pursue careers in the financial sector, continuously enhance their professional capabilities, and apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout the program, laying a solid foundation for their future studies and career development.

Speech by Mr. Chan Wai Pan
Following the speech, students delivered group presentations on the theme of “Optimization of Account Opening Services for International Students and Customer Service Scenario Exploration”, sharing with the guests and evaluators their learning outcomes and practical insights in areas including the analysis of international students’ financial service needs, the optimization of account opening procedures, and the exploration of customer service scenarios. From a professional perspective, the evaluators offered detailed guidance and feedback on each group’s work, while also commending the students’ innovative thinking and presentation skills. At the end of the ceremony, representatives from BOC and MSB presented Best Presentation Awards and Certificates of Completion to the students. The event concluded successfully with a group photo session.
