The seminar was hosted by Associate Professor Zheng Lei of MSB, with a welcome speech and commemorative gift presentation by Chair Professor Felix Tung Sun Chan, Vice Dean of MSB. During the seminar, Professor Lee shared insights on how to balance theoretical contribution, practical value, and social impact in product innovation research. Using the “Journal of Product Innovation Management as an example”, she outlined the journal’s submission requirements, including the integration of theory and practice, logical rigor in paper structure, and how to demonstrate the social value of topics in research. She pointed out that the journal particularly encourages exploratory research on phenomena that lack theoretical explanations. Professor Lee emphasized that high-quality papers must possess clear theoretical innovations and provide substantial insights for business practices.
