MUST School of Business students stood out in CGMA Global Business Challenge 2025 (Macau Region)

The “CGMA Global Business Challenge 2025” organized by the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA) kicked off in major North Asian regions in March this year. After more than a month of intense competition, students from the School of Business (MSB) at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) once again excelled, winning both the champion and third places in the Macau region. The champion team will advance to the North Asia Final.

The participating teams flexibly applied the knowledge learned in class and performed excellently in the Macau region competition. Amongst, the Team Poker, composed of Han Peixi, Zhuang Yuxin, Li Junfei, and Lin Sihan, stood out in the competition, and won the Macau championship under the guidance of Assistant Professor Zhang Ruopiao. This is the second consecutive year that MUST students have won the Macau championship. At the same time, The Mavericks, composed of An Zhiyi, Sun Jiacan, Chai Yumeng, and Gao Jingwen, under the guidance of Assistant Professor Zhang Tianyu, also won the third place with outstanding result. Team Poker will represent the Macau region in the North Asia Final, competing for the championship against ten other qualifying teams. The students’ outstanding performance demonstrates MUST’s exceptional strength and competitiveness on the international business competition stage.

Founded in 2008, the “CGMA Global Business Challenge” is a high-level international competition for undergraduate students worldwide. It aims to explore and cultivate students’ outstanding business literacy, closely integrate theoretical knowledge with practical skills, expand career competitive advantages and nurture the new generation of leaders with capability to lead the future business development. Aiming at “searching for future business leaders”, the competition selects outstanding student teams with excellent business potential and proficient in finance, accounting, marketing, management, and other diverse knowledge. Every year, the competition attracts nearly 100 universities and over 10,000 students from China and North Asia to participate.
