2025/06/10

The 2025 Graduation Ceremony of the School of Business (MSB) at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) was successfully held at 4:00 pm on 9 June at the Auditorium of Block R of MUST. The ceremony was presided over by Chair Professor Paul Kwong Hang TAM, Vice-President of MUST, and Professor Sheng Ni, Dean of MSB. Attending the ceremony were key faculty leaders, including Professor Lin Zhijun, Senior Consultant to the President of the Academic Accreditation Office; Professor Liu Chengkun, Director of The Institute of Sustainable Development; Chair Professor Felix Tung Sun Chan, Vice-Dean of MSB; Professor Tang Huajun and Professor Zhang Jinghua, Assistant Deans of MSB; Professor Lin Yongjia, Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance; Professor Chang Po Chien, Head of the Department of Management; and program directors of various MSB programs. This year, MSB celebrated a total of 2,229 graduates, comprising 877 bachelor’s degree recipients, 1,274 master’s degree recipients, and 78 doctoral graduates. A total of 1,126 bachelor’s and master’s graduates attended the ceremony (the doctoral degree certification presentation ceremony was held on 7 June at the 2025 Congregation of MUST). Vice-President TAM, Dean Sheng, and Vice-Dean Chan, accompanied by MSB program directors and coordinators, took commemorative photos with the graduates, capturing precious and unforgettable moments. With the presence and blessings of teachers and family, the graduates marked a perfect conclusion to their learning journey at MUST, officially embarking on a new chapter in their lives.

Speech by Dean Sheng Ni

Professor Sheng Ni, Dean of MSB, congratulated the graduates of two doctoral degree programs, ten master’s degree programs, and two bachelor’s degree programs, noting that this year marks the 25th anniversary of both MUST and MSB. Currently, approximately 6,800 students are enrolled in MSB, making it the largest college within the University. MSB adheres to its founding principle of being a “PRO” college: P stands for “Professional faculty members”, R stands for “Responsible students”, and O stands for “Outstanding research”. Dean Sheng emphasized that MSB students consistently demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility — in class, academic research, and various on- and off-campus activities. MSB graduates possess diverse qualities and achievements, with many holding leadership positions as corporate executives, equipped with rich practical experience and outstanding leadership, combining academic theory with practical applications to significantly impact businesses and society. Additionally, MSB students have actively participated in regional and international competitions, achieving remarkable results. Notably, MSB students have won top-three placements multiple times in the Macao regional round of the “Global Management Challenge” and have championed the national grand prize — the highest honor in the “FinTech Innovation Competition for National College Students” — for two consecutive years. These accolades not only showcase the exceptional strength and competitiveness of MSB students but also enhance the prestige of MSB and MUST. Finally, Dean Sheng expressed her hopes that graduates, whether continuing their studies, entering the workforce, or starting their own businesses, will embrace passion and innovation, shining brightly in their chosen fields and achieving their life goals.
