MUST 25th Anniversary Celebration: MUST School of Business held the Second Business Innovation Competition Final Roadshow

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of MUST, the School of Business (MSB) of MUST has successfully launched the final roadshow of the second Business Innovation Competition on 23 March 2025. With the theme of “Innovation Leadership & AI Empowerment”, the competition underwent months of preparations and intense competitions, aiming to cultivate future business leaders through innovative practices and provide students with a platform to demonstrate interdisciplinary integration capabilities.

The competition was hosted by MSB and organized by the MSB Student Union, attracting over 200 students to participate. The preliminary selection was launched on 15 February  and the criteria were the same as the previous edition, with teams consisting of 3 to 5 students, and with MSB professors as mentors to jointly carry out the projects. From registration and grouping, mentor pairing, preliminary selection to final roadshow, the competition reflected professionalism and practicality.

During the preliminary selection, participating teams submitted project proposals including detailed descriptions on the background of the problem, market demand, target customers, customer needs and proposed solutions, etc., along with an analysis of resource input and project returns. After the rigorous evaluations and assessments by judges on all the entries, 20 of them were selected to enter the final roadshow.

The final roadshow has marked the climax of the competition, with teams showcasing the technical highlights and business logic of their projects through presentations and defenses. The competition highlighted creative outcomes such as precise marketing and financial investment solutions driven by AI algorithms, as well as supply chain optimization empowered by blockchain technology, demonstrating students’ keen insights into industry trends. Ultimately, the MHWSCA team won the “Best Creative Award” and First Prize, with F4 team also achieved the First Prize. Last but not least, 18 teams were awarded Second Prize, Third Prize, and Winning Prize.

The MSB representatives including Professor Tang Huajun and Professor Zhang Jinghua, Assistant Deans of MSB; Professor Chang Po Chien, Head of Department of Management; Professor Lin Yongjia, Head of Department of Accounting and Finance and Professor Li Xin, Head of Department of Decision Sciences, presented certificates, prizes, and trophies to the winning teams. Certificates are also rewarded to the mentors of the winning teams to appreciate the excellent supervision and dedications. Assistant Dean Tang Huajun congratulated the winning teams on behalf of MSB, commended them on their talent and creativity. He also expressed gratitude to MSB Student Union for their professional and efficient organization during the preparation phase, and to the judges for their expert evaluation and valuable feedback on the entries.

Being one of the academic events celebrating the 25th anniversary of MUST, this competition aims to provide students with a platform to showcase themselves, stimulate their innovation awareness, and ignite their entrepreneurial passion. In the future, MSB will continue to promote learning through competitions, promote teaching through innovation, closely align with national and regional development strategies, cultivate compound business talents with both international vision and practical ability, while promote the development of MUST and the School.
