Professor Zhang Weiying is a renowned economist in China, known for his influential theories on enterprise and his research on the reform of state-owned enterprises. His work has had a significant impact both domestically and internationally, as well as within relevant government departments and the business community in China. He is one of the earliest scholars to propose and systematically argue for the dual-track pricing reform approach.
His seminal article, "Renaming Money," published 41 years ago, profoundly altered the public's traditional views on money. Additionally, his paper, "Driving the Reform of the Entire Economic System with Price Reform at its Core," is a critical contribution to the systematic argument for the dual-track pricing reform approach.
Professor Zhang's academic works, including "Entrepreneurs of Enterprises: Contract Theory," "Game Theory and Information Economics," and "Enterprise Theory and Chinese Enterprise Reform," have made substantial contributions to the field of economics, both in China and globally.
