On January 3, 2020, Professor Xiang Yunhua, Director of the Center for Social Security Studies of Wuhan University, the Associate Dean of the School of Political Science and Public Management of Wuhan University and Professor Li Xiaokun, the Associate Dean of Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences of Wuhan University and three others visit to School of Business of Macau University of Science and Technology. During this academic exchange, the Center for Social Security Studies of Wuhan University and School of Business of Macau University of Science and Technology have signed a memorandum of understanding. This cooperation will jointly promote the establishment of Ministry of Education's key research center for humanities and social sciences-a partner base of the Center for Social Security Studies of Wuhan University "Macao Social Security and Health Research Center ".
The Center for Social Security Studies of Wuhan University was established in 1993
In 2000, it was approved as a key research center of humanities and social sciences by the Ministry of Education. The center also became the second phase of the National "985 Project"-the social security research and innovation base in 2004, which is the only national social security research and innovation platform in China. In 2017, it was selected as a member unit of the high-end intelligence library alliance of universities, and the construction of intelligence library are already showing initial results.
