The MSB Advisory Board Meeting in 2019/2020 Academic Year

The MSB Advisory Board meeting in 2019/2020 academic year was held on Campus on 27thNovember, 2019. Members who attended the meeting include: Mr. Paulo Tse, Executive Director of Macao Chamber of Commerce; Mr. Raymond Bao, Partner in charge of EY Accounting Firm (Macau); Mr. Chang Chak-Io, Jack, Vice Chairman of Executive Board of Macau Economic Association; Mr. Ieong Chi-Kuong, Banking Business Director of Bank of China, Macau Branch; Mr. Lee Koi Ian, Standing Vice President of Macau Youth Entrepreneur Association; Dr. Maurice WF Ngai, the Past President of the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Mr. Wen De-Xin, Assistant to CEO cum General Manager of Corporate Quality.

The term of appointment of the current MSB Advisory Board members will expire at the end of this year. Professor Lin Zhi-Jun, Dean of MSB, invited Mr. Paulo Tse to continue to serve as the chairman of the advisory board. And most of the current members will also remain in the committee as well. In addition, Dr. Toa Charm, Chairman of OpenCertHub Limited and Associate Professor of the Business School of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Mr. Patrick Wu, Human Resources Director of Sands China Ltd. attended the meeting and both of them are invited to join the MSB Advisory Board.

Professor Lin Zhi-Jun reported the work progress of our School in the past year. This includes: the progress of the AACSB accreditation; teaching and research activities of our School; the achievement and the academic exchange of the faculty members and the students; the career development of the students, etc. Besides, Professor Lin also introduced the work plan of the coming year which includes teaching, academic research and the recruitment of our academic staff. The Advisory Board members actively provided valuable suggestions regarding the strategic development of MSB. Professor Lin thanked all members for their support. He also expressed that MSB will enhance the role of the MSB Advisory Board; strengthen the network connection of the alumni and the Student Union; encourage the interaction between the academic staff and the enterprises so as to expand the research results practically and to improve the quality of teaching and learning effectively.
