After a rigorous review by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a leading global body for professional accountants based in the UK, School of Business at Macau University of Science and Technology has received confirmation from the Headquarters of ACCA to grant a 5-year term accreditation from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2021 for the Master of Science in Accounting program.

The ACCA re-accreditation allows the MSB accounting graduates to receive a full range exemption, i.e., the maximum 9 papers, to sit for ACCA qualification examination. ACCA has over 100 years of proven reputation for quality and excellence, with over 188,000 members and 480,000 students in 178 countries at present. The ACCA reaccreditation should greatly benefit MUST students for pursuing accounting profession and career advancement. Last year, ACCA has also granted a 5-year term accreditation to the BBA- Accounting Major program. The Accounting programs offered by MSB at MUST have also received accreditations by other major international accounting profession bodies, including CPA Australia and the UK-based Institute of Certified Management Accountants (CIMA), which reflects that the accounting programs at MSB have been internationally recognized.
