Professor Lin Zhijun from the School of Business has authored a new monograph of "Strategic Costs of Quality Management Systems in Chinese Business Enterprises," which was published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing (the UK) in July 2023. Based on study results of a research project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the monograph systematically reviews the evolution of quality costs management theories and practices in the West and China, proposes relevant a conceptual framework of strategic costs of quality management, and verifies the importance and feasibility of transforming traditional quality cost management towards strategic quality cost management. In addition, the monograph presents several case studies of Chinese companies that have successfully implemented strategic costs of quality management systems, analyzing their characteristics, effects, implementation experiences, problems encountered and relevant solutions, based on the outcomes of a series of field study and onsite interviews. This monograph could be a useful reference for researchers, teachers and students in the fields of quality management and management accounting, as well as for practitioners, professionals, and business managers.
