2019/2020 School of Business Student Orientation

On September 3rd, School of Business held a student orientation for 2019/2020 new students at the J Indoor Gymnasium. More than 1,000 freshmen and teachers gathered to welcome the upcoming new academic year.

Associate Dean & Professor Sheng Ni gave a speech to welcome 800 undergraduate students and 637 postgraduate students with total of 1,437 freshmen joined the School of Business of Macao University of Science and Technology. MUST is a young and energetic college which has made remarkable achievements in talent cultivation, scientific research and social services during the past 20 years. She also indicated that our college provides international standardized education and research in business administration, which is in line with international practice in terms of professional settings, curriculum design and teaching methods. The final destination of MSB is to cultivate talents with a global vision and make efforts on students' leadership and independent thinking ability. Besides, all freshmen who are about to set sail on the new road of study are told to learn from others, strictly abide by the rules and regulations to write a more gorgeous chapter for MUST, love the motherland and love Macao.

Subsequently, the Assistant Dean & Associate Professor Zhang Jinghua introduced the organization structure and the faculty team. The teacher representative, Professor Tian Qing explained the teaching philosophy and the development of the university. She hoped that the students would strive to cultivate their spirit of knowledge, stimulate imagination, learn self-management, and develop the independent thinking ability to become a comprehensive development of innovative talents with morality and aspiration. The President of Student Union Xin Xin on behalf of the student gave several suggestions to the freshmen based on the past experience: adapt to the role transition from high school to university as soon as possible, learn to discretion time well and develop social skills and leadership. Finally, an award ceremony for the students who won the Dean Horner’s List in 2018/2019 academic year was held. Associate Dean & Professor Sheng Ni issued the certifications to students and encourage them to have continuing efforts. School of Business Student Orientation was successfully concluded.
