Ms. Erica Chen, Head of China Mainland Development (Marketing & Communication) of HKICPA led a delegation on a visit to the School of Business in Macau University of Science and Technology in the morning of December 11, 2018. The delegation was warmly received by Dean Lin Zhijun and Associate Head of Department of Accounting and Finance Zhang Zhuo.
Dean Lin Zhijun gave the delegation an introduction of School of Business in the University and the accounting course curriculum. They discussed the qualification program and exemption requirements of HKICPA and expressed the intension for further cooperation.
HKICPA (The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants) evolved from the Hong Kong Society of Accountants, which was established in 1973. HKICPA is the only body authorized by law to register and grant practicing certificates to certified public accountants in Hong Kong. The Institute has wide-ranging responsibilities, including assuring the quality of entry into the profession through its postgraduate CPA qualification program and promulgating financial reporting, auditing and ethical standards in Hong Kong.
