Delegation of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants visited the School of Business of MUST

On 19 May 2025, Ms. Vicky Li, Regional Vice President of North Asia of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), led a delegation to visit the School of Business (MSB) of MUST. The delegation was welcome by Professor Sheng Ni, Dean of MSB; Professor Lin Yongjia, Head of Department of Accounting and Finance; Assistant Professor Zhang Tianyu, Program Coordinator of Accounting Major; and Assistant Professor Sun Hongyan of Accounting Major. Both sides exchanged information on recent development with in-depth discussions on further enhancing cooperation.

Dean Sheng Ni introduced the latest development of MUST and the close collaboration with CIMA. This included the completion of CIMA certification for the Accounting undergraduate program last year and the signing of Financial Leadership Program partnership agreement, making MUST the first higher education institution in Macau to receive this honor. Additionally, MSB students actively participated in CIMA’s Global Business Challenge and won the Macau regional championship last year. CIMA also established scholarships for MSB students to encourage their participations on learning and CIMA examinations.

Ms. Vicky Li then highlighted CIMA’s leading position in the field of accounting. She explained the advantages of CIMA CGMA certification for students in terms of applying for overseas studies, employment, and professional recognition; and CIMA is a major participant in the national accounting talent development program. Mr. Ash Noah, Vice President and Managing Director of Learning, Education and Development at CIMA, shared practical case analyses of the Financial Leadership Program, aiming to enhance students’ theoretical knowledge and strategic thinking abilities.

Besides, in-depth discussions on providing internship opportunities, sharing new corporate technology requirements, and enriching certification courses. Both sides have achieved positive outcomes after the sharing. Dean Sheng Ni presented a commemorative gift to Ms. Vicky Li and took group photo.
