The School of Business with full support from MUST will organize a research seminar titled “When Less is More: Optimizing Prescription Alerts under Fatigue” at 11:00 am on 20 March 2025 (Thursday) in N101 Hall of MUST. Assistant Professor Michael Lingzhi Li is invited to be the distinguished speaker to deliver a speech in healthcare research, as well as explain how an advanced computerized system enables to play an important role on ensuring safe medication field. The seminar is co-organized with the Medical Sciences Division and the Faculty of Innovation Engineering.
Michael Lingzhi Li is an Assistant Professor in the Technology and Operations Management unit at Harvard Business School. His research focuses on the end-to-end development of decision algorithms based on machine learning, causal inference and operations research. He examines the implementation of such algorithms in hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and public health organizations, and their potential to fundamentally transform healthcare operations. At the same time, he is also the recipient of awards including the Edelman Laureate, the Pierskalla Award, and the Innovative Applications in Analytics Award. His research interests cover end-to-end algorithmic development for healthcare, including learning, evaluation and implementation; Human-AI applications in healthcare.
