MSB held a meeting with the delegation of Western Michigan University
Dr. Paulo Zagalo-Melo, Associate Provost for Haenicke Institute for Global Education of Western Michigan University, and his delegation visited Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) on November 13, 2023 (Monday). Chair Prof. Joseph Hun-wei LEE, Vice Chancellor and President of M.U.S.T., Prof. Pang Chuan, Vice President and Dean of the Graduate School, Dean Prof. Sheng Ni, and Vice Dean Prof. Chan Tung Sun of the School of Business (MSB) received warmly. Both parties had a friendly conversation about student cultivating and future cooperation and development.
During the meeting, President Lee warmly welcomed Associate Provost Paulo Zagalo-Melo and his delegation and introduced the overall development and curriculum of M.U.S.T. in recent years. He also mentioned that the School of Business earned the AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation in July 2023. It signifies that the school’s development strategy, teacher standards, teaching quality, and student cultivating have fully reached international standards. It is hoped that both universities can give full play to their respective advantages and strengthen for future cooperation.
Associate Provost Paulo Zagalo-Melo affirmed M.U.S.T.’s development in teaching and research and introduced the development and curriculum of Western Michigan University in recent years. He hoped the two universities could continue strengthening cooperation and cultivating more professionals with an international perspective.
The guests also included: Dr. Satish Deshpande, Dean of Haworth College of Business, Dr. Steve Newell, Associate Dean for Graduate Programs and Operations, and Dr. Mike Tarn, Associate Dean for International Programs in Asia. Dr. Ying Zeng, Director of Asian Initiatives, Haenicke Institute for Global Education, and Dr. Joanna Liu, CEO of GIMBA Taiwan Recruitment Office of Haworth College of Business.
