The School of Business (MSB) of Macau University of Science and Technology became a founding member of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Marketing Research Alliance. Prof. Sheng Ni, Dean of MSB, signed the founding agreement on behalf of the school. In the morning of September 23, 2023, Prof. Shi Guicheng, as a representative of the school, attended the opening ceremony of the Guangdong- Hong Kong- Macao University Marketing Research Alliance Foundation Monument and the first "Asia Pacific Marketing International Academic Conference" at Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou.
The Asia Pacific Marketing Academy Conference was proposed by the Guangdong- Hong Kong- Macao University Marketing Research Alliance. Guangdong- Hong Kong- Macao University Marketing Research Alliance was established based on the national "Outline of the Development Plan for the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area", and it was reviewed and approved by the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao University Alliance and filed with the Education Administrative Department. It was officially established in 2023.
Nine founding members of the alliance, including the School of Management of Sun Yat-Sen University, the School of Business Administration of South China University of Technology, the School of Management of Shenzhen University, the School of Economics and Management of the University of Hong Kong, the School of Business of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the School of Business of City University of Hong Kong, the School of Business of Hong Kong Baptist University, and the School of Business Administration of the University of Macau, and the School of Business of Macau University of Science and Technology.

The Guangdong-Hong Kong- Macao University Marketing Research Alliance has established the APMA conference to focus on the Asia Pacific region and play a bridge role in international academic exchange and cooperation. In order to achieve high-quality and sustainable development in the Asia Pacific market, APMA will explore diversified marketing and consumer behavior practices in China and the Asia Pacific region, explore operational models with Asia Pacific regional characteristics and shared globally, and contribute Asia Pacific wisdom to global marketing theory and practice innovation.
