On March 16, 2024, a team from the Department of Decision Sciences of the School of Business (MSB) of Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) traveled to Hong Kong to participate in the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK) Student Day Competition. Led by Assistant Prof. Ip Kwai Fan, Che Pak Hou and Chen Yue, the team comprised four year 3 students of MSB who are Ao Tianyi, Huang Xinyuan, Nie Haixin, and Tang Jiayue.
There were nine prestigious universities across Hong Kong and Macau participating in the competition including the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Metropolitan University of Hong Kong, the University of Hong Kong, the University of Hong Kong's School of Professional and Continuing Education, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Tsing Yi), the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Hong Kong College of Wollongong and M.U.S.T.
Despite facing strong contenders, the MUST team, fueled by dedicated training and a collaborative spirit, delivered an impressive performance. Their case analysis skills shone brightly, captivating the judges and the audience. Their effort rewarded them with being the first runner-up in the competition. This achievement marks the best result for MSB of M.U.S.T. at the CILTHK Student Day Competition since its initial participation in 2008.
