Prof. Lin Zhijun was appointed as the Director of the Academic and Technical Committee of the Guangdong Logistics Profession Association

On the 3rd meeting of the Fifth Executive Council of The Guangdong Logistics Profession Association (GLPA) held in Guangzhou on March 28, 2024,MSB Professor Lin Zhijun was appointed as the Director of the Academic and Technical Committee of GLPA, to promote the industry-academia-research activities in the logistics industry within and outside Guangdong Province. Professor Lin is assumed the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Greater Bay Area Logistics and Supply Chain Innovation Alliance in 2023 (and the Founding President of the Alliance). This is the first time that the Association has set up the Academic and Technical Committee.

The Guangdong Provincial Logistics Profession Association was established in 2006. It is a national advanced social organization and one of the first batch of 5A-grade industry associations in China. It is also among the first to have the qualifications to undertake government function transfers and government procurement services. GLPA is a provincial-level industry association that has been honored with the title of "Guangdong Province's Top 500 Modern Industrial Projects" among national industry associations. It has more than 6,000 members in the logistics industries, including manufacturing, logistics, and service sectors, covering over 1,800 major logistics enterprises domestically and internationally. In recent years, GLPA has actively engaged in various activities related to the logistics industry and market research and analysis, logistics project planning, industry self-regulation, formulation of national and local logistics industry standards, comprehensive evaluation of national logistics enterprises, credit rating, industry vocational skill assessment, quality certification, academic seminars, and talent training with domestic and international economic organizations and logistics groups.
