The Director of Global Education in the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Professor Wang Zhemin visited the School of Business during Oct. 10th -11th . Professor Wang got his PhD degree in the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1991. From 1991 to 1997, he taught in the North Dakota State University and was the accounting coordinator in the College of Business Administration. Over the last 28 years, Prof. Wang has consistently received the highest student teaching evaluations.
Professor Wang gave a lecture of “Litigation Risk, Reputation Protection and Audit Quality” on Oct. 10th , at 3 pm. Associate Dean & Professor Sheng Ni, Faculty Secretary Lo Sut Ieng, Assistant Professor Sun Hong Yan and more than 100 Accounting and Finance students from the School of Business attended the seminar.
Professor Wang Zhemin introduced the differences between China and the United States in terms of legal system, tax system, accounting system and audit quality. Taking the published academic article by Professor Wang as an example, he made an empirical study on the differences in the audit quality between Big4 firms and non- Big4 firms and introduced the methods and research results of accounting regression in details. He also gave suggestions on topic selection, regression analysis, and literature writing to students who are going to have their graduation thesis project at the School of Business. Professor Wang’s speech was warmly praised by the teachers and students of our school. The students actively spoke and put forward their own ideas.
On Oct. 11th , Professor Wang met with teachers and students from Accounting and Finance department of the School of Business.
