The M.U.S.T. Business School Students Won the 2nd and 3rd Prizes in The Second Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Trading Contest Final

On December 19, 2017, the second Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Trading Contest Final held by the FDT Finance Innovation Factory was successfully completed in Hong Kong. The Drive Group which is composed of MSB students who are Ou Xingli, Dong Wengang and Tan Yongheng won the second prize. In addition, the Mercury Group composed of Wang Yiming, Liu Yucan and Wei Weixin won the third prize. Besides, associate professor Song Yu and assistant professor Lin Yongjia were awarded the "Outstanding Teacher Award" and associate professor Liu Chengkun won the "Outstanding Organization Award."

The contest lasted more than one month, which was divided into an online simulated real-market foreign exchange trading contest and a presentation of the investment analysis report. Online game uses FDT score as the primary standard score calculation. Through the analysis and summary of the four aspects of trading strategy, fund management, risk control, and experience, the rank of the total score is calculated by the final judgment of the Jury. After the fierce competition, both teams of our school not only achieved excellent results in the online game, but also performed well in the offline contest. In the end, they won the second and third place honors. This competition not only enables students to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice, but also makes them to develop a better understanding of the foreign exchange market. Furthermore, it also promotes the communication of teachers and students in Beijing, Hong Kong and Macao, that provides additional opportunities for understanding and cooperation of schools across the three geographic areas.
