FM Students Rewarded Second Runner Up in

the CPA Australia Case Competition

    The CPA Australia Case Competition 2010 – Stage 2 held in Hong Kong on 18 February 2011 and the team, Tiny Dream, from Faculty of Management and Administration became the second Runner Up out of 48 teams.

    Participants have to provide a detailed analysis of the case, as well as to put themselves in the shoes of a member of the Board of Directors, resolve issues leading to the collapse of the ABC Learning Centre and guide the company back to healthy growth. To be outstanding among the competition, our participants not only demonstrated a good understanding of both the business and non-business reasons for the failure of the company, but also showed their excellent communication skills.

    After the breath-taking competition in the morning, as one of the top 6 teams, our students were invited for a firm visit to PricewaterhouseCoopers in Hong Kong to meet with the HR department and the Senior Manager of Tax Services. Later, Case Competition participants were invited to join the CPA Australia Celebration Cocktail to meet with 2010 internship students, employers and top-notch industry players.
